Valorile pixelilor imaginii de intrare sunt optimizate astfel \u00eenc\u00e2t caracteristicile DNN (deep neural network) ale imaginii s\u0103 fie similare cu cele decodificate din activitatea fMRI. O re\u021bea de generatoare (DGN &#8211; deep generator network) este op\u021bional combinat\u0103 cu DNN pentru a produce imagini cu aspect natural, \u00een care optimizarea este efectuat\u0103 la spa\u021biul de intrare al DGN.
